This excursion takes you to Otavalo, the most famous and largest Indian market of South America. On the way you will enjoy many volcanoes covered with snow all year around, stand in both hemispheres of the earth at the same time, and visit beatiful lake Cuicocha, in the shadow of Cotacachi Volcano.

  • First stop will be at "Quitsato" where we will find the monument to Mitad del mundo.
  • Second stop will be in Cayambe, we will observe the preparation of the famous biscuit (a type of bread) and we will taste it with a delicious coffee.
  • Third stop: We will observe Lake San Pablo and the Imbabura Volcano.
  • Fourth stop: We will make a tour of approximately 2 hours, through the famous craft market "Mercado del Poncho" at Otavalo.
  • Fifth stop: We will make a tour to the famous Peguche Waterfall.
  • Sixth stop: Boat tour of the Cuicocha Lagoon.
  • Return to Quito
  • English speaking professional guide
  • Private transportation from Quito to all locations and back.

Single travellers are welcome too! If you decide to come on your own, we will pair you up with someone from the same sex and a similar age group, or if you prefer, you can pay the single person supplement and have the room to yourself.

Internet in the Galapagos Islands is notoriously slow and patchy, although all of the hotels we use do have it. Just don't expect the kind of blistering speeds available in the UK and you won't be disappointed!
